Our art collection is the only national loan collection dedicated to inspiring better health and wellbeing.

Our collection was the very first art collection with the specific purpose of improving patient’s health. Since 1959, our collection has grown to hold over 3,800 artworks, including drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, textiles and digital worksOur art collection is best known through our art loan programmes.

Over 2,000 world-class artists are represented in our collection, including Bridget Riley, Antony Gormley, Andy Warhol, Josef Albers, Anni Albers, Anish Kapoor, Gillian Ayres, Ian Davenport, Maggi Hambling, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Elizabeth Blackadder, Quentin Blake, Helen Chadwick, Alexander Calder, Catherine Yass, Ben Rivers, Sonia Boyce and many more.
