Number 36 in our countdown of '70 Ways Art Improves Our Health' highlights what we in store for this major arts in health festival…

Next week is the seventh annual Creativity & Wellbeing Week festival!

Beginning on Monday 04 June 2018, the week features hundreds of events for people to explore the ways in which the arts can improve our health and wellbeing. With debates and discussions, performances and exhibitions, tours and practical sessions, Creativity & Wellbeing Week is an opportunity to find out more, make connections, and be inspired.

At Paintings in Hospitals, we have lots planned for the week:

Rooted in the Landscape: Exhibition (05-09 June 2018)

Our new touring exhibition in collaboration with the Arts Council Collection will open for a special preview week in June at the Menier Gallery, featuring works by artists such as Marc Quinn, Keith Vaughan and Turner Prize-nominated Janice Kerbel.

Art in Larger Doses: Proposals (05-09 June 2018)

We're back for the sophomore year of our student mental health project with internationally-renowned art school Central Saint Martins, nurturing emergent curating talent to shape the future of arts in health. This year’s innovative exhibition proposals will be presented at the Menier Gallery.

Connect 2018 (6:00-8:30pm, 05 June 2018)

After three fantastic sold-out years, our Connect networking evening has become a major feature in the arts & health calendar. It’s already sold out again this year…

Rooted in the Landscape: Symposium (10:00am-4:30pm, 06 June)

Join us for our first ever symposium exploring the themes of our new exhibition in collaboration with the Arts Council Collection, where we'll lead discussions on the influence of representations of landscape on wellbeing. See the full list of speakers here.

If you’re coming to one of our events, let us know on Twitter! And don’t forget the hashtag for the week: #creativityandwellbeing.
