This November sees the finale of our project with Central Saint Martins. A new exhibition, titled Nature Calls, will open at King’s College London NHS Health Centre from 11 November 2017 to 31 May 2018.

Earlier this year, our Art in Large Doses project asked emerging curators from the BA (Hons) Culture, Criticism and Curation course at Central Saint Martins to propose an art exhibition to support the mental health of students at King's College London. The proposals were showcased during Creativity and Wellbeing Week (13-17 June) before the final exhibition was selected by the health centre.

Nature Calls, the selected exhibition, aims to disrupt the clinical feel of the NHS waiting room by contrasting it with a more natural look and feel. The pieces chosen from the Paintings in Hospitals collection build a flowing story of natural scenery. The aim being to create a mental escape and to remind us of a time when more people lived outside the city.

The Paintings in Hospitals artworks will be displayed alongside three micro installations, each of which has tongue-in-cheek references to the abrupt entrance of nature into the space.
