Stephen Bartlett: 'I'

Stephen Bartlett was born in 1942 and began studying at the Royal College of Art in 1960. During his four years there, he was awarded the Silver Medal and the College Prize. On his graduation, he won a one-year travel Scholarship to Italy. On his return, he was a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art, Hornsey College of Art, and Kingston Polytechnic. From 1968 to 1981 he was a partner at the BIB Design Consultants in London after which he established the Fine Art Studio. Throughout his career he has exhibited in many galleries in the UK and around the world and his work is held in many private and public collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
