Chloë Cheese is an illustrator, painter and printmaker. She was born in London, the daughter of artist and printmaker Bernard Cheese and artist and illustrator Sheila Robinson. Her artworks are held in collections including Tate Britain, V&A, the Museum of London, and Paintings in Hospitals.

Kelim Carpet with Wavy Leaves is a screenprint by Chloë and is part of the Paintings in Hospitals collection. This print is bright, so it quickly catches our eye. The vibrant colours are warm and happy, and the mix of lines and shapes looks messy but full of energy. It’s hard to feel sleepy when you’re looking at this image!
