Nesta invests in Paintings in Hospitals

We are delighted to announce that Paintings in Hospitals has received social impact investment through Nesta’s Cultural Impact Development Fund.

Paintings in Hospitals has received social impact investment of £150,000 through Nesta’s Cultural Impact Development Fund. The £3.7 million fund, managed by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment through the Growth Fund programme, with finance being provided by its partners National Lottery Community Fund and Big Society Capital, aims to enable risk-taking, ambitious organisations in the arts and cultural sector to take on small-scale repayable finance in order to achieve social outcomes.

Trishna Nath, Investment Manager at Nesta, said:

“We're thrilled to have Paintings in Hospitals in our Cultural Impact Development Fund portfolio! Their long-standing history and tremendous reputation for arts provision in care settings first attracted us to the organisation. It is our hope that this investment will help them realise their strategic and financial objectives and ultimately address the changing needs of the community. We believe strongly that Paintings in Hospitals is well positioned to achieve these goals and are delighted to be on this journey with them!”
