We're seeking a Loans Coordinator to provide an outstanding art loan service in the West Midlands that promotes health, wellbeing and empowerment for all.

  • Employment type: Freelance contract (12 months+)
  • Salary: £800-900pcm retainer, exclusive of travel expenses
  • Hours: 15 hours per week (estimate). This may include some evenings and weekends.
  • Location: West Midlands (with some national travel)

Based at home, the Loans Coordinator for the West Midlands will help us to grow the number of health and social care partners using our loan service whilst providing an excellent service to our current partners. The Loans Coordinator will develop and deliver innovative engagement activities with service-users, patients and staff from new and existing health and social care partners, leading to sites borrowing artworks from the Paintings in Hospitals collection. The Loans Coordinator will responsible for renewing current loans and will support the care and display of artworks in the region.

The successful applicant will have two years’ experience within a museum loans administration and/or learning role; excellent relationship management skills and have an understanding of how Paintings in Hospitals’ services can improve health and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal); knowledge of the health and/or social care sectors, and a passion for visual arts. A motivated individual with experience of developing new partnerships, you will be results-driven with a track record of achieving targets and a strong desire to help people. You will have the organisational skills to prioritise and manage a challenging and diverse workload, and the ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Strong administration, a flare for cultivating new and existing partnerships, excellent account management skills and an understanding of how our activities improve health and wellbeing will all help you succeed in this role.
