His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has supported Paintings in Hospitals through his Patronage since 2000. We are delighted to announce that he has recently accepted an invitation to continue as Patron for a further term.

Paintings in Hospitals brings together two major principles: the importance of the built environment and of integrated healthcare on quality of life.

We are thankful for His Royal Highness’s support and involvement in our work to inspire better health and wellbeing across the UK. As Sandra Bruce-Gordon, our Director & Chief Executive, said:

“To have His Royal Highness continue as our Patron is an honour. We are grateful for his support as we continue to use art to aid people with their wellbeing, particularly now following the Covid-19 pandemic as our services have never been more relevant and in demand.”

Andrew Hochhauser QC, Chair of Paintings in Hospitals, said:

“I am delighted that The Prince of Wales has agreed to extend his Patronage of Paintings in Hospitals for another term. We are aware of the large number of invitations he receives around patronages and are honoured that he will continue to support our work”.
