The Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust, Imperial Health Charity and Paintings in Hospitals are seeking an emerging Curator to develop an exhibition that will tour to four healthcare sites.

The Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust was established by the Scottish artist Wilhelmina Barns-Graham in 1987. The Trust exists to enhance the reputation and understanding of Wilhelmina Barns-Graham as one of Britain’s most significant 20th century artists.

This partnership between the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust, Imperial Health Charity and Paintings in Hospitals offers an emerging curator an opportunity that will include: selecting 10-15 artworks from the Barns-Graham Trust collection; formulating a clear curatorial narrative suitable for care audiences; working with all partners to ensure the exhibition is ready for public display by November 2018; delivering a talk at St Mary's Hospital; writing a blog; and suggesting engagement activities to complement the exhibition and support patients' wellbeing.

The emerging curator’s fee will be £1,000, plus expenses. To find out more about the project, the role, and the organisations involved, download the Curator’s Brief below.

To apply, please send your CV with a cover letter to [email protected] (subject: Barns-Graham Project Curator) before 6:00pm, Monday 30 April 2018.
