‘Draw 18’ is our Annual Open Exhibition with a wonderful representation of works by both Members and Non Members.

The Society of Graphic Fine Art founded in 1919 is a Membership made up of professional Fine Artists, Illustrators and Printmakers from all walks of life both within the UK and abroad. The exhibition is sponsored by several very well known manufacturers of artist’s materials, represented in awards for outstanding entries in the exhibition.

The very basis of ‘works’ in the Society is ‘excellence in drawing' regardless of techniques, styles and media, shown throughout all the Society’s exhibitions.

Throughout the SGFA’s one hundred year history (celebrated next year in 2019) are such distinguished figures as Sir Frank Brangwyn RA, RE (the Society’s first President), Royal Academician Dame Laura Knight, Ronald Searle, John Piper, Royal Academician Prof. Ken Howard OBE, Ronald Maddox President Emeritus of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and celebrated Illustrator Victor Ambrus have all been a part of the Society’s colourful history.

We do hope you will visit the exhibition and enjoy the fine work produced by members of the Society of Graphic Fine Art.
