The show is entitled ABSENCE as it features work which explores landscapes, cityscapes and interiors which are devoid of the human life that created them.
Where there should be crowds, bustle, excitement, people going about their daily business – there is emptiness, silence, absence
As well as being beautiful, the paintings examine the impermanence of humanity – inviting us to imagine what might remain once we are gone.
The artists draw on techniques used by mapmakers as well as more traditional fine art motifs. The paintings are made with a variety of media including acrylic on canvas, oil on glass and oil on board.

A photography exhibition to promote a better understanding of refugees. The exhibition will consist of between 12 – 15 portrait shots. The subjects will reflect the cultural, economic and social contribution that refugees make to the capital and showcase alternative histories.
The portraits will be accompanied by text, detailing in their own words, the subjects’ reasons for fleeing their countries of origin, their life and career in the home countries and how that contrasts to their lives in the UK.
After the initial showing the exhibition will tour local school and libraries in South and East London.
